Happy Holidays!

CSHL meeting "Mechanisms of Eukaryotic Transcription". We presented our fresh and surprising data on the roles of the bromodomains and the ET domain in facilitating Bdf1 recruitment to chromatin. We're excited to welcome Agnieszka from the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland! Agnieszka will work with us during her year-long traineeship at OMRF.

Last few months of hard work by Magda, John and Fathia brought a trove of preliminary data. We're excited to delve deep into it!
We welcomed to the lab our first Rotation Student through the Graduate Program in Biomedical Sciences (GPiBS). During her rotation Fathia will explore the possible interplay between BET proteins Bdf1/2 and the cohesin complex in yeast cells.
Thanks to a generous support of the Oklahoma Center for Adult Stem Cell Research we just placed an order for the brand new LI-COR Odyssey DLx system which will benefit multiple labs at OMRF and OUHSC!
